I just wish the headset sounded as good as it looked. It's great to see Logitech come out of their comfort zone, and while I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan of the G733's look at first, it definitely grew on me. The best sounding microphone at the $130 price point still goes to the Creative SXFI Gamer wired headset if that's a priority for you. The detachable microphone on the G733 didn't blow us away but sounded on par with the Astro A20 wireless gaming headset which we recently reviewed. ![]() Again though, when massive shootouts and explosions did break out, I just wasn't getting the kick I wanted. It was neat to play the Miami stage in Hitman 2 and hear all the ambient conversations all around me as I was trying to sabotage an F1 race car to explode on the race track in order to assassinate my target. I'm not the biggest fan of surround sound in headphones, but these managed to impress even me-especially at this price. On the plus side, the G733 offers pretty awesome multi-channel and DTS Super Stereo settings. Over the last weekend I played the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta and the over-exaggerated bass made firefights sound really odd even when the Bass Boost Preset is turned on. One of the more useful elements of the G-Hub is the user-created sound and visual profiles you can browse through if you really don't like creating your own.Īs far as gaming and music are concerned, the first thing that sticks out is the muddledness of bass-heavy tracks in my go-to Bass Arcade playlist on Spotify. From here, you can tweak your acoustics, RGB, and add silly microphone filters. Speaking of which, G-Hub is slowly becoming my favorite out of the half dozen hardware customization apps out there. Another benefit of turning off the RGB was it gave a near 30 hours of battery life. ![]() Thankfully, I was able to turn off the RGB via the Logitech G-Hub app which was the only way I could actually use this headset without driving myself mad. I found it tough to focus on anything I was doing since I kept seeing lights in the corner of my eyes. ![]() The problem is that if you are wearing glasses (particularly larger frames), you can catch the reflection of the RGB lights in your glasses, which makes for a painfully distracting user experience. At a glance, the RGB on the front makes the headset pop, especially if you're a streamer and want to add a bit of fun to your look. The real issue I have with the G733's design comes in the placement of the vertical RGB light strip on the front side of the headset's ear cups. The lightweight (278g) design comes courtesy of the headset's hard plastic and stretchy fabric headband. We were also disappointed to see that it used 25% of our test computer’s 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 processor, which was several times greater than TeamViewer or LogMeIn. LogMeIn, however, fell behind in this category, with a generally laggier experience. We experienced little to no lag with either: mouse tracking was smooth, as were most animations, and clicks were carried from client to host nearly instantaneously. TeamViewer and RemotePC both performed well in terms of latency and system resources. ![]() Finally, LogMeIn didn’t do a great job of scaling displays, which could be blurry. Additionally, all three web apps are limited, so you’ll need desktop or mobile version for tasks such as file transfers or remote printing. ![]() There are some notable exceptions: We found the RemotePC iOS app a bit clumsy, sometimes highlighting text without meaning to or scrolling too far due to oversensitivity. Session functions like chat, whiteboard, and recording were equally easy to find and use. The interfaces are quite similar: a main dashboard gives you access to devices associated with your account(s), plus additional features like user management and meetings. We found all three apps straightforward and easy to use. While both RemotePC and LogMeIn have some great features, TeamViewer ticks all the boxes in terms of compatibility, collaborative tools, and business integration. Finally, TeamViewer supports hardware and software integration, beyond that provided by RemotePC’s simpler API, to integrate with your business’s existing IT solutions. When spinning, the windmill blades deal 20 blunt damage every 2 seconds to players or creatures. It is also important to build windmills in an open, unobstructed area as structures, terrain and natural objects can slow down the wind.Ī very efficient way to use the windmills can be to place them on the plains since there is a lot of wind and the windmills will always be in operation. Lower wind strength or other cover will further increase this.ĭue to how inconsistent the wind can be, it may be useful to build several windmills to take advantage of the wind when it is blowing strongly. The operating speed depends on the wind strength and how covered the windmill is (from top of the windmill). Flour can also be removed by hand before reaching the stack limit. If you want to go hands-free, some shaker bottles utilize a small blending motor at the bottom, resembling miniature models of your countertop blender. Most bottles employ a metal agitator that breaks up the powder and mixes it with the liquid source easily as you shake, while others use an insert or mesh-like top to help mix and break up the powdery clumps. Your shaker's blending device will determine how smooth and consistent your mixture ends up. Be sure to look at the product descriptions before making a purchase. While most shaker bottles can withstand the temperatures and pressures of a typical dishwasher, there are some made from low-quality plastic that can melt if run through a cycle. ![]() Still, washing shaker bottles, and the blending devices themselves, can get tedious at times, so having the capability to conveniently toss your drinkware in the dishwasher is a definite benefit. Dishwasher Safeīecause you're blending various powders and the occasional milk with these devices, shaker bottles can easily develop bacteria and funk if not tended to routinely. If you want to travel light without compromising your mixing, look for plastic options. ![]() For athletes wanting to retain a cold or hot mixture, I recommend opting for stainless steel shakers due to their insulating qualities and exceptional durability. These materials are easy to clean, lightweight for packing and can typically withstand the intense shaking action you'll put into blending up a supplement. Metal, glass and plastic are typical materials used in shaker bottle construction, and for good reason. If you want to add more ingredients, like oats or berries to your protein shake, plan to size up so you give the mixture enough space to blend properly. For most shakes and concoctions, you'll need anywhere from 8–20 ounces of liquid, so be sure to grab a shaker that can fit not just your water or milk, but the powder itself as well. You need a vessel that has enough volume to support your nutrition, so size is one of the biggest factors to consider when choosing the proper shaker bottle. ![]() ![]() The only thing that changes of course is the I/O channel that provides low level access, but I didn't change much of it either, so it's really disappointing to go out of your way to use the official tools, and see them have such sluggish performance as soon as you move out of their preferred platform. ext3 formatting performance is rather slow (compared to doing it from Linux) even though I made sure to use the exact same formatting library as the one that's used on Linux ( lib/ext2fs from e2fsprogs's) and left the sources pretty much unmodified. ![]() So, I'd rather have Ubuntu fix this very disappointing issue before I start to look into adding persistence to conf files, and end up with a bunch of Ubuntu users complaining that their media cannot complete boot. First of all, that's because it's a bit tricky to do (for instance Ubuntu has multiple kernel entries, and we're only want to do it for the 'Live' one) and second, it's because currently Ubuntu has a MAJOR BUG that will result in init failing with the messages (initramfs) mount: mounting /cow on /root failed: Invalid argument/ overlay mount failed (yes, we tried moving the casper-rw partition before the main partition, and, no, I'm not going to add a 3rd EFI partition when creating Ubuntu drives just to work around a BUG that should have been fixed years ago!).

![]() ![]() While an interesting travelogue, at its root Ghost Rider was a chronicle of how to repair a shattered self. In his 2002 book, Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road, he described going to art museums in the afternoons before Rush concerts "to feed my growing interest in paintings, art history, and African carvings." Peart's erudition earned him the nickname "The Professor." It was apt: Carrying himself with an air of well-spoken authority, he possessed knowledge about a variety of topics, owing to his extensive global travels - on Rush tours, he was known for taking off on bicycle rides and, later, would hop on his motorcycle to travel between gigs - and a voracious curiosity about the world around him. "And, above all, his lyrics made people think - Rush fans were liberal, conservative, religious, non-religious - but they all united around their respect for the band and their admiration for how Neil could articulate their experiences, or give them a new way to look at an issue." "He made observations that the average fan could relate to, and he encouraged people to think for themselves, and to be themselves, too - to stand up for what they believed. "Writing lyrics, like drumming, was something he took seriously and respectfully," Halper says. Like the best songwriting, Peart's body of work was also malleable enough to grow with its listeners - his songs often mused about aging and the importance of dreaming the ominous "Subdivisions" railed against the conformist suburbs that "have no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth." That streak of individuality is also there in his songwriting, making Rush's lyrics feel more like a manual for life, full of economical quips ("I'm so full of what is right / I can't see what is good," from "The Color of Right") and thorny questions ("Roll The Bones" and its skepticism about faith). (He later clarified that Rand's work no longer resonated with him.) In a 2015 Rolling Stone cover story, Peart self-described as a "bleeding-heart libertarian." For much of Rush's career, Peart was also dogged by long-ago praise for the author Ayn Rand, whose works were an influence on the sprawling 1976 song cycle 2112. dropping atomic bombs on Japan in 1945, from multiple viewpoints. A media historian and former broadcaster, Halper is credited with getting Rush their U.S. had the ability to express complicated ideas in a rock song," Donna Halper, an associate professor of media studies at Lesley University, tells NPR Music. "There's a stereotype about rock music, that it's mundane or predictable. However, the Ontario native was a quiet leader who shaped Rush's voice, writing the bulk of the band's lyrics and maintaining a steely, rock-solid presence behind the drumkit. The musician and author, who passed away at the age of 67 on January 7 after a private, three-and-a-half-year struggle with brain cancer, famously eschewed the spotlight and rarely gave interviews. ![]() When Canadian prog-rock innovators Rush were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, it was both somewhat surprising and totally appropriate that drummer Neil Peart opened the trio's acceptance speech.
